    NY/London based diversified alternative investment manager is seeking to add an analyst with 3 – 5 years’ experience to join the Operations team. The role works closely with the middle/back office teams and the analyst will focus on reconciliations of trade activity across all funds, settlement issues with counterparties and prime brokers as well as confirms, all daily repo activity and assist in end of day P&L processes. The role will report to the Head of Operations.

    Responsibilities

    • Reconcile daily all trades and positions for Fixed Income, FX, Repos and Equities across funds.
    • Liaise with prime brokers and counterparties to ensure timely domestic and international settlements of cash and repo activity.
    • Confirm all Repo activity with counterparties and liaise with front office on discrepancies.
    • Resolve and confirm all items on the Daily Fail Report.
    • Assist in the end of day P&L process.
    • Support the team’s technology initiatives to ensure accuracy and operational efficiency.
    • Calculate and report all daily P&L for various hedge funds and managed accounts.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree. Majors in Finance, Accounting or Economics preferred.
    • 3 – 5 years prior financial markets experience.
    • Strong attention to detail.
    • Outstanding verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Entrepreneurial, analytical, proactive, highly detail-sensitive team player.
    • Ability to problem solve independently and propose innovative solutions.
    • Ability to maintain composure, exercise discretion, and make sound professional judgments in an environment with heavy workloads and tight deadlines.
